Pretreatment Program

There is also the Pretreatment Program, which monitors industrial and food service runoff to reduce the amount of pollution in the waterways before the water even reaches the treatment plants. The program is responsible for testing and regulating these point sources of pollution to enforce the laws about such matters and ensure optimal functioning of wastewater treatment facilities. For more information about the details of the program, see the page on Toledo’s website.
