Toledo Waterways Initiative

Though sewage is not the chief culprit this time around, the sanitation systems still need work done to be able to handle overflows caused by storm water.  Once the Toledo Waterways Initiative is complete, the structures and systems built will stop 80% of overflow from getting into waterways, including Lake Erie.

For more information on the projects and complete details on how its doing, check out the TWI website.
